Serving Black Diamond, Covington, Hobart, Maple Valley, Ravensdale and within the boundaries of The Tahoma School District
As an agency with a long history of active volunteers and community support, it is easy to find people who have been, or who currently are a vital part of MVFB&ES. Thanks to the support of individuals, local youth groups, churches, businesses, organizations, school districts, governmental agencies and all of our wonderful volunteers, we are able to combat hunger and need in our community.
Mission:
To provide food and emergency services to residents in our service area and to educate, empower and engage our community in solving issues of hunger and nutrition.
Vision:
Building a healthy community free of hunger.
The faces of hunger will surprise you; those we serve may be in a crisis situation due to medical cost, poor health, job loss, disability, mental health issues, abandonment by a spouse or partner, abusive situations, delinquency of child support payments, seniors living on fixed incomes, low income wages, and the newly unemployed.
