Thanks for helping Make a Difference today. Here’s a list of our tasks with high to low priorities:

Garden Bed Cleanup Highest Priority
We are in the process of restoring a previously used community garden with clients and community groups. Tasks will include:
Invasive Blackberry Removal (High Priority)
We have had a local community member push back some invasive blackberry bushes. We are needing some folks to dig out as many of the remaining plants as possible. Here’s the tasks:
  • Dig out roots (Gloves, shovels, and loppers)
  • Cut back other bushes with loppers as needed (Gloves, shovels, and loppers)
  • Clear branches and place in one central pile (Gloves)
Interior Painting (High Priority)
We are in the process of reopening a space that will be used by the community, including groups that will be working on the garden project throughout the year. This will include:
  • Painting of meeting room walls (we have all supplies needed)
  • Painting of small welcome are (we have all supplies needed)
General Campus Fall Cleanup (Medium Priority)
We have a regular volunteer team, but during the fall will appreciate the following:
Rear Garden/Deck Cleanup (Medium Priority)
This garden is used by clients and staff. These are the tasks:
Exterior Painting Low Priority
There maybe some outdoor woodwork that will need painting, but this would be weather dependent. We have all the supplies.
Greenhouse/Very Large Cold Frame Low Priority
This is a framed area attached to our shed. This will include clearing out a few items and stapling some greenhouse plastic sheeting to the frame. We had hoped to add some plexiglass to the top of the greenhouse but this isn’t available:
