Proposal Overview

Maple Valley Food Bank (MVFB) is requesting proposals from qualified and experienced
Commercial Real Estate Consultants or Real Estate Advisory Firms to conduct a
comprehensive Real Estate & Facilities Feasibility Study.

The study will support MVFB’s long-term expansion planning as the organization
works to meet the growing nutritional needs of the greater Maple Valley community.

Important Dates

  • Issue Date: April 22, 2026
  • Proposal Due Date: May 22, 2026
  • Proposal Due Time: 5:00 PM (Pacific Time)

Proposals received after the deadline may not be considered. Proposers assume
all responsibility for timely delivery.

Scope of Services

MVFB is seeking a consultant to conduct a full real estate feasibility study.
The services shall include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Assessment of the current facility’s physical capacity, condition, and expansion potential
  • Needs assessment in coordination with MVFB leadership
  • Evaluation of potential properties for expansion, relocation, or dual-site operations
  • Zoning, land use, and permitting analysis within Maple Valley and surrounding areas
  • Comparative cost analysis of all viable expansion scenarios
  • Operational and logistical analysis (accessibility, parking, loading, transportation)
  • Review of local real estate market conditions and trends
  • Identification of creative or alternative expansion solutions
  • Preparation of a written feasibility report with prioritized recommendations
  • Presentation of findings to MVFB leadership and Board of Directors

Project Location

MVFB’s current facility is located at:

21415 Renton Maple Valley Rd SE, Maple Valley, WA

The selected consultant must be reasonably available for site visits, meetings,
and coordination with City of Maple Valley staff.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Licensed to practice in the State of Washington
  • Minimum of five (5) years of relevant commercial real estate experience preferred
  • Experience working with nonprofit organizations highly desirable
  • Experience with facility expansion, relocation, or new construction projects

Compensation

Compensation will be negotiated through a Professional Services Agreement.
Proposals must clearly describe the proposed fee structure (hourly, retainer, or other).

Selection Process

Proposals will be reviewed by the Maple Valley Food Bank Board of Directors
based on qualifications and responsiveness to this RFP.

A decision is anticipated at the May 22, 2026 Board Meeting.
