Maple Valley Turkey Trot: Thanksgiving Day 5K!

Join us for the first ever Maple Valley Turkey Trot 5K benefiting the Maple Valley Food Bank! The Maple Valley Turkey Trot is a fun walk or trot Thanksgiving Morning through Lake Wilderness Park organized with the intention of coming together as a community during the Thanksgiving holiday to help those in need. All proceeds raised will go to fund Maple Valley Food Bank Programs as we enter into our organization’s busiest season.

All ages are welcome!

• $30 registration (includes t-shirt)

• $15 registration for kids 10 and under (includes t-shirt, no chip timing)

• Kids in strollers are free, no registration necessary

• We encourage Thanksgiving costumes & accessories! Event t-shirts (Sport-Tek brand) will be provided for FREE at registration.

Proceeds from the 5K will support the Maple Valley Food Bank’s life-changing food security and homelessness prevention programs that serve families in Maple Valley, Black Diamond, and the Tahoma School District. Email lindsey@maplevalleyfoodbank.org with questions.

Day-Of Schedule

Day-of race registration and packet pick-up will begin at 7:30 AM on race day. The race will begin at the Beach House at Lake Wilderness Park promptly and 9:00, with awards taking place around 10:15.

Chip timing

Timing will be provided by our friends at Raise the Bar out of Black Diamond, WA. Chips will be placed on a neoprene ankle band.

Awards

Awards for both males and females will be given based on age groups. More information coming soon.

Race Results

Official race results will be available shortly after the conclusion of the event. These results will be based on chip time (Crossing start line to crossing finish line).

Bag Drop

Bag drop is available near the registration table beginning at 7:30 on race day.

Strollers, Dogs, and Water

We encourage the use of jogging strollers along the route of this family-friendly 5K. However, out of consideration for other participants, dogs will not be allowed on the course (with the exception of service dogs). We will have water stations along the course as well as water at the end of the race.
